This year has been a year of new adventures. I’ve been doing a little less music photography, but has managed to travel a lot, visiting new and old places. Ibiza, New York, Iceland. New festivals with and without my camera bag; Panorama NYC, Roskilde Festival, Øyafestivalen, Iceland Airwaves. Enjoying life and working hard.

I started 2018 with a wonderful and intimate Charlotte Dos Santos show at Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene in Oslo and ended it with a really poor concert by Ms. Lauryn Hill at Oslo Spektrum. In between I’ve photographed artists like Sigrid, Grandmaster Flash, Gary Numan, Harry Styles, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Metallica, Demi Lovato, Foo Fighters, Father John Misty, Prophets Of Rage, Arcade Fire, St. Vincent, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Roger Waters, Jeff Lynne, Laurie Anderson, Shania Twain, Blood Orange and MGMT. Not bad!

I sincerly hope you enjoy this collection of pictures from 2018 (click on the image for full screen).

Jeff Lynne's ELO

Jeff Lynne is not an artist who visit Norway too often (last time was in 1982), so when he finally decided to drop by Oslo Spektrum on a Friday night I knew I had to be there too with my camera. Along with the rest of the Norwegian press photographers I got to shoot the first three songs «Standin’ In The Rain», «Evil Woman» and «All Over The World» from FOH. Then I checked my bag in at the reception, got myself a beer and enjoyed the rest of the show.

The concert was filled with hits from Lynne’s long career. A lot of material from Electric Light Orchestra (the show was after all billed «Jeff Lynne’s ELO»), some solo work, and also a song by Traveling Wilburys (Lynne’s group with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and George Harrison).
