OverOslo 2019

Why not try something new from time to time? I’ve been hearing a lot of good stuff about the festival OverOslo over the years so last night I decided to head up to Grefsenkollen to check out some oldies but goldies with Mannfred Mann’s Earth Band, The Proclaimers and Toto. And I must admit I had a really good time, and that I enjoyed being one of the youngest festival attendees for a change.

Mari Henanger reviewed the Toto show for GAFFA.no.

Piknik i Parken 2019

The last couple of days I’ve been working for GAFFA.no and Gonzales Photo at the festival Piknik i Parken. This year the festival moved to Sofienbergparken in Oslo and I got to see acts like New Order, The Streets, Julia Holter, The 1975 and Jungle perform.

Some highlights below.

Øyafestivalen 2018

My pictures from the 2018 edition of the Norwegian festival Øyafestivalen. While it is always nice to visit my neighborhood festival, more and more artists have bans professional photographers or hand out terrible photo contracts, that I will characterize as unsignable.

This year we were not allowed to shoot Arctic Monkeys and Kendrick Lamar, for instance (artists I have photographed in the past at festivals like Roskilde and Øya without any problems).

I will probably not be working as a photographer at festivals after this season, as I am really tired of carrying heavy equipment and not being able to work with (most of) the festival headliners. A sad development for concert photography indeed.

Solange

Friday night and Solange in town. Last year's «A Seat At The Table» was one of the best records of 2016 and her concert at the small festival Piknik I Parken in Oslo was really something.

Øyafestivalen 2016

This week I worked at Øyafestivalen in Oslo. As always a great festival, and the musical highlights for me was definitely M83 on Wednesday and New Order on Friday. PJ Harvey, Jamie XX, Christine & The Queens, Kaytranada, AURORA, Thundercat and CHVRCHES were also pretty good.

Check out a few photos from the festival here:

More photos from Øyafestivalen can be seen at GAFFA.no - I worked alongside fellow photographers Ane Østnes and Stian Schløsser Møller at this edition of the festival. Great fun!
