New York City

Earlier this month I spent some days in New York City. First and foremost to visit the «Play It Loud» exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where one of my pictures are included (a photo of Rage Against the Machine member Tom Morello shot at a concert in Oslo last summer), but also to catch some other exhibitions, concerts and sights.

I had a blast at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Jewish Museum (Leonard Cohen) and Paley Center for Media («The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel»). Visiting iconic concert halls and clubs such as Carnegie Hall, Blue Note and Apollo. Catching Vampire Weekend at Madison Square Garden and spending a day at the Outlaw Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens (with Willie Nelson headlining). And seeing comedian David Cross («Arrested Development») work out some new material for his next show in front of a small audience at Union Hall in Brooklyn. What a trip!

This time I also brought my camera along with me. Did not care to carry it around too much, but you can see some of my shots from the city here.

Øyafestivalen 2019

Last week I worked two days at Øyafestivalen in Oslo for the Norwegian magazine GAFFA.no and the international agency Gonzales Photo. This was the 20th edition of the festival, and I have attended each year since 2007.

Some of my personal highlights included The Cure and Blood Orange (Wednesday) and Eryka Badu (Thursday).

Pink

I had a really good time shooting Pink’s amazing show at Telenor Arena in Oslo last night. More pictures below. Aurora Henni Krogh’s review (in Norwegian) available at GAFFA.no.

John Fogerty

Last night I worked at Oslo Spektrum shooting the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival singer John Fogerty’s sold out show at the venue.

Read Mats Norbeck’s review (in Norwegian) and check out more photos at GAFFA.no.

Cardi B

Last night Cardi B performed as a headliner at the Norwegian festival Kadetten Music Festival in Sandvika. She is one of the biggest names in the industry at the moment, and it was both fun and chaotic in the photo pit during the first three songs of her set.
